Scripture:
Galatians 3:27–28

Devotional:
Church pews hold people with different stories, different wounds, and different joys. Some grew up in the faith. Others are just now learning the words of the liturgy and the rhythm of the Church year. Yet what brings us together is not sameness. What binds us together is Christ.

In Baptism, we were clothed with Christ. That means our identity is not finally found in our past, our background, or even our failures. It is found in Him. The Church is not a gathering of people who have it all together. It is a gathering of sinners made one by the mercy of Jesus.

No matter where you come from, the promise is the same: Christ has claimed you as His own.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for gathering Your people from many different places into one Church by Your grace. Keep me rooted in Your promise. Amen.

Reflect:
Where have you seen Christ unite very different people through His Gospel?
