The hosts of Different Pews, Same Promise bring together a unique mix of personalities, backgrounds, and life experiences, all grounded in the same saving promise of Jesus Christ. Michael Copp, host and builder of Different Pews, Same Promise, has a heart for creating meaningful, Christ-centered conversations that connect faith to everyday life. Alongside him is Channing Wood, one of the funniest guys you will ever meet, but also one of the most heartfelt and encouraging people to be around. Derek Delefose brings a steady, calm presence and is the kind of stand-up guy you can always count on in every way. Ruben Solano, a best friend of Michael’s since college, adds both humor and thoughtful insight, with a sharp business mind and a strong understanding of Lutheran doctrine. Together, these four friends bring laughter, honesty, wisdom, and authenticity to the table. Their friendship goes back years, shaped by summers spent playing basketball together, shared memories, a love for hunting, and simply enjoying time together whenever their busy lives allow. What makes this podcast special is not only their different personalities and perspectives, but the way they are united in the same Savior, the same Gospel, and the same hope.

Through laughter, real-life stories, meaningful discussions, and faithful Lutheran perspective, our mission is to encourage listeners, strengthen faith, and show that even from different backgrounds, experiences, and pews, we are all held together by the same saving promise of Christ.

Our hope is to create a space that is both deeply rooted in God’s truth and welcoming to those exploring faith, reminding people that while our stories may be different, the promise of Christ remains the same.
